Many things to do and try on the day...Meditation in the Park is similar to a village fĂȘte with lots of activities in which you can take part. It's also an opportunity to relax in a beautiful green space, enjoy a picnic with friends and family, win prizes and get free tuition from experienced instructors in a variety of easy and highly enjoyable techniques which can improve your physical and mental wellbeing.
When you arrive at Russia Dock Woodland Green with your picnic, you'll sign-in at the marquee and receive your welcome pack with the day's schedule and your number for the picnic judging. You'll then set up your picnic on the green.
From there on, the day is up to you. Activities begin at 12pm. There are a variety of workshops and stalls including meditation and yoga activities, flower arranging, smoothie making for children, arts and crafts, a masterclass on sleeping better, a fruit meditation and nature tours.
Activities run for either 15 minutes or continuously throughout the day except for the walking meditation and nature tours which are little longer so you can pick and choose which you'd like to do. Click here to see the complete list with descriptions...
The day goes very quickly so be sure to arrive early to make the most of all there is to experience...
Meditation in the Park has many superb prizes donated by our supporters. In the early afternoon, the judges search for the best picnics in each of the categories.
At 3pm we'll begin to gather together for a the group meditation led by expert teacher and local resident Guru Kaur. It lasts about 10 minutes after which the judges will announce the best picnics and award the prizes.
